Today’s Featured Friday Pet is Josephine!

After being in a shelter for months, we think it’s high time Ms. Josephine gets her due! Originally a stray, we don’t know much about Josephine’s back story, but her rescuer did note that she seemed friendly towards other cats and that she was very skinny. We are very happy to report that Josephine has since chonked up quite impressively, and we hope those scrawny days are gone forever! With her heart-shaped nose, voluptuous bod and perfect eyeliner, Josephine is a beautiful, body-positive gal that isn’t too shy to ask for belly rubs or lounge around showing off her curves. At 9 years old, Josephine the perfect age for a cat – calm and settled with middle age but still years of love left to give.

This quiet and affectionate kitty would be perfect for a mature home with or without other cats. She would prefer an indoor home as she is none too eager to end up back on the streets, and promises she’ll be a model house-guest. Sure, kittens are cute, but did you know the best indicators of owning a healthy kitten are constant sleep deprivation and spending three times as much on toilet paper? True story. The laid-back Josephine is currently strutting her stuff over at Wild Birds Unlimited in Hendersonville, and we hope you will go visit her! Her adoption fee is discounted and she really hopes to find her new family very soon.
