Fletcher Hoarding Case Update
Some of you may have heard about the recent case hoarding and neglect case in Fletcher involving 8 cats and 32 dogs. These animals were living in absolutely deplorable conditions, many packed into crates without food or water. We were happy to be able to offer safe shelter to one cat and fifteen dogs from this case, and between us and other local shelters and rescues, each and every animal from that home is now warm, loved, and cared for, most of them probably for the first time in their lives. As could be expected from such circumstances, many of the dogs have medical and dental issues that will need to be addressed. We hope that you will consider donating to our shelter so we can continue our mission of helping those that need it most. Donations can be made at https://www.blueridgehumane.org/donate/ With all these animals have suffered, they are all very sweet and in great spirits! Feel free and stop by our shelter if you’re interested in meeting any of these amazing pup.
