Blue Ridge Humane Welcomes Adam LeGrand, K9’s for Warriors Ambassador
Blue Ridge Humane Society welcomes Adam LeGrand and his service dog Molly for a special luncheon celebrating the power of animal rescue not just here in Henderson County but in the lives of veterans across the country.
Adam LeGrand chose to enlist as a medic in the United States Air Force mostly because he felt a patriotic duty and wanted to save lives. He was deployed for over 10 years in Iraq and Iran before being medically retired for physical injuries, PTSD, and traumatic brain injury-related problems.
Suffering from his injuries, Adam applied to the K9s For Warriors program, a veterans service organization that provides service dogs to veterans. Important to our story here is that he adopted his service dog Molly from Henderson County Animal Services! Adam and Molly completed their training in 2015 and now together travel the country advocating for veterans’ healthcare options.
To hear Adam and Molly tell their story, join them at our Cause for Paws Luncheon on Tuesday, March 24th, at the Champion Hills Clubhouse.
Tickets and sponsorships start at $75 per person and are available by calling (828) 692-2639 ext 301 or online here!
