Marcie’s Happy Tail
Today’s Happy Tail Tuesday is Marcie!
So happy to get the news that Marcie is doing wonderfully in her new home! Marcie was our resident woman-about-town, her easy-going nature earning her lots of trips to events and outings with staff and volunteers. We’re thrilled that Marcie (now known as Brooks) is thriving in her new home and enjoying all the wonderful things in life she deserves. Happy Tails, sweet girl!
“We had housetraining issues the first couple of days – but quickly figured out that it was an “us” problem and not a “her” problem. Once we tuned into her cues, we’ve had zero issues. She does love to chew, but it’s because she’s a puppy! We keep puppy-safe toys for her to chew on and redirect her attention as needed. We do have another dog, he is 16 and has adjusted amazingly well. As of last night, they were running around playing together. Our 10 year old son and Brooks have bonded and become big buddies. No issues at all around anyone – children, other animals, other people – she will lick you to death, but that’s about it!”
