Shelter Renovation: We Need Your Help!

We are very happy to announce to all staff and volunteers that we will begin the long overdue renovations to the shelter in the next couple of months. However, due to the extensive scope of the renovations it will be necessary for us to temporarily close the shelter for the safety of the animals during the construction. We expect to be closed for approximately 90 days. The staff at the shelter are currently looking for foster homes and families (temporary homes during the renovations) to assist us during the renovations period. We will be holding numerous adoption events and continue our spay/neuter efforts during this time and will continue to take animals from the county shelter as we can. If you are willing to be a foster home for our pets or know a good candidate for a foster home, please call Nicole at the shelter at 828-685-7107. We are very excited to be making these improvements (many of which are required by NC Animal Welfare) to our facility. It will improve the stay of each animal in our care and also enable the staff to work more efficiently. Thank you for all you do for us everyday!
