Wildfire Readiness

Our hearts are with everyone impacted by the wildfires in our area especially those facing the fear and uncertainty of evacuating with their beloved pets. In times like these, our bond with animals becomes even more powerful, and their safety is just as important as our own.

Emergencies can happen without warning. Taking a few steps now can make all the difference:

-Create an emergency kit that includes food, water, medications, veterinary records, and comfort items for your pets.
-Make sure your pet has an ID and a microchip with up to date contact info.
-Have current photos of your pet on your phone or printed out.
-Have a carrier for each small pet and leashes/harnesses for each dog.
-Ensure all pets can fit in your vehicle. If not, have an alternate plan for their transport.
-Plan where you’ll go ahead of time.
-Display a pet rescue alert sticker on your front door or window.
-Assign a trusted caregiver in case you’re not home during an emergency.
-Get the full list and more details on how prepare at the link in the comments.
